University degree preferred and/or community college diploma from a recognized post secondary institution in psychology, criminology, social work or a related field with experience working with high risk youth or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should possess a positive philosophy, strong counseling and interpersonal skills, the ability to implement cognitive behavioural programs with adolescents, superior organization and computer skills, a current first aid/CPR certificate, a valid class G driver’s license, criminal reference check that is declared suitable for vulnerable sector employment, physician’s note indicating fit to work, and up to date immunization status according to national standards.
