Maryanne Waiman and Jess Koehn, both from Kingston, have taken their love of literature and art and friendship and combined them into a new children book, The Story of Hedgehog Who Wanted to Fly. Two met as students at Kingston Collegiate Vocational Institute over a decade ago and became fast friends. Their friendship grew while they both attended Queen University, Wainman majoring in English literature and Koehn in art history.

Inspirational Moment: One of the most inspiring moments I have had during my time with Let Talk Science occurred during the Let Talk Science Challenge hosted at Queen University last spring. Our first event was the team quiz challenge and I was amazed by the groups of students who came into the auditorium in their team costumes chanting their team cheers. The amount of excitement and collaboration between the teams as they worked through each question was such an inspiration to see.
