We had numerous nurses come by her room in the hospital during her last few days there who had taken care of her over the last several months she had been in and out of the hospital and some of them would cry and tell us what a special person she is. One of the young nurses, Betty, told us she had worked in nursing homes for many years but had quit to work at the hospital as she always found an older woman she called her princess and she would wind up losing her, and it would hurt too badly. She said she didn’t think it would happen in the hospital, but then she met our mother who became her princess and it happened all over again.
